Brian C. Weiler, A.A.E.
Director of Aviation
Weiler as been with the airport since August 2011. Previously, he worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for 15 years. Among other things, he was responsible for the state’s involvement in aviation, railroads, river ports, and public transportation. Before MoDOT, Weiler managed airports in Johnson County, Kans., St. Joseph, Mo., and Martin County, Fla.
Shawn Schroeder, A.A.E.
Assistant Director of Aviation— Operations
Shawn Schroeder has been with the airport since April 2005. Prior to serving here, he served as the Assistant Director of Aviation at Valley International Airport in Harlingen, Texas for five years. He served as the Deputy Director of Operations and Maintenance at McAllen-Miller International Airport for over two years and in other operations positions at Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport and in Midland, Texas. He is currently serving as the President of the Missouri Airport Managers Association and is the Missouri state representative for the Great Lakes Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives.
Mark W. Roy
Assistant Director of Aviation — Finance
Mark Roy has been with the airport since 1996 and is responsible for financial operations. He is a certified public accountant. Prior to working for the Airport he spent thirteen years in the City of Springfield's Finance Department where he coordinated annual budget and audit activities.
Kent Boyd
Public Information and Marketing
Kent Boyd has been with the airport since 2006. Prior to working for the Airport, he served five years as district Community Relations Manager with the Missouri Department of Transportation. Before that, he spent 18 years in broadcast journalism. During that time he worked as a newsroom manager, reporter and photographer. His reporting work won numerous honors, including an Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. His areas of expertise include crisis communication, media relations, interpersonal communication and electronic media.
SARAH KERNER
Airport Counsel
Sarah Kerner has worked as in-house legal counsel for the airport since November 2007. Before joining the airport management team, she worked in private practice with an emphasis on business litigation, health care compliance, and employment law. She is licensed to practice law in Missouri and in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Missouri. Her primary duties at the airport include working with contracts, leases, ordinance reviews, personnel issues, airline bankruptcy matters, and airport fire, police, and accident issues. Working with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations governing aviation are also a part of her duties.
